St. Vincent claims title, Koishor second

STE. GENEVIEVE — St. Vincent junior Sam Koishor shot an 80 to finish in a tie for the top spot at the JCAA Conference Golf Tournament on Monday at Ste. Genevieve Golf Club, but fell short in the scorecard playoff, ending up second.

As a team, the Indians finished in first place with a score of 359, followed by Windsor (373) and Jefferson (375). Perryville finished fourth at 376.

Individually for St. Vincent, Brecken Reiss shot a 93 and finished 10th; Colden Prost turned in a 93, good enough for 12th overall; and Adam Brickhaus carded a 93 to finish 13th. Quinton Doza finished with a 95 and Boston Tarrillion had a 101.

Koishor, Reiss, Prost and Brickhaus were named to the JCAA All Conference team, as were Perryville’s Jake Cissell, who shot an 89 to finish fifth; Derek Martin, who finished ninth with a 92; and Wyatt Schremp, who tied with Reiss for 10th with a 93.
