Ronald Ray Black, 82, of Perryville died Thursday, Feb. 4, 2021 at Perry County Memorial Hospital.
He was born Feb. 9, 1938 in Farrar to Wesley and Merle (Zahner) Black. He and Betty Ates were married June 16, 1956. She survives in Perryville.
Ron had been a meat cutter at Rozier’s for 29 years. He enjoyed talking and visiting with all of his friends there. He was a member of First Baptist Church. Ron loved horses and his family.
Other survivors include a daughter, Cathy (Bob) Keeton of Chester; a son, Mike (Robbie) Black of Jackson; five grandchildren, Bonnie Black, Thomas Black, Tiffany, Stephen and Hannah Keeton; four step-grandchildren, Jamie (Josh) Whited, Phillip Keeton, Tyler (Chelsea) Clifton, Shane Clifton; 13 great-grandchildren and 12 step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son; Stephen E. Black; a brother, Gerald Black; and a sister, Edna Pilger.
Friends may call at Ford & Young Funeral Home on Wednesday, Feb. 10 from 4-8 p.m. and on Thursday, February 11 from 6:30 a.m. until time of Service at 10 a.m. with Rev. Phillip Keeton officiating. Burial will be at York Chapel Cemetery in Longtown.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Judes Childrens Hospital or Shriners Hospital.
