Poplar Bluff captured the team title at the Perryville Junior Varsity Tournament on April 23 at Perryville Country Club, finishing with a 171 (+31).
Notre Dame placed second at 181, followed by Potosi (182). Host Perryville tied for fourth with Windsor at 184, while North County (186) placed sixth. Sikeston (191), DeSoto (200), Hillsboro (203) and St. Vincent (203) rounded out the top 10, with Jefferson (212) and Herculaneum (213) completing the field.
Windsor’s Christian Robinson earned medalist honors with a 36 (+1), edging Poplar Bluff’s Sam Wilmath (38). Windsor’s Chace Kraus placed third with a 39, while Poplar Bluff’s Lucas Reasons, Notre Dame’s Tristan Aguila and North County’s Emmitt Hathman tied for fourth at 40.
DeSoto’s Landon Tomlinson finished seventh with a 41, while Perryville’s Jay Ingles led the host team with a 42 to place eighth. Sikeston’s Owen Sadler and Perryville’s Devin Kutz rounded out the top 10 with rounds of 43.
Perryville placed 2 golfers inside the top 10, with Ingles (42) finishing eighth and Kutz (43) tying for ninth. Carson Corn added a 49, while Bryce Hall carded a 50.
The Pirates also saw Gabe Santora and Landon Hudson each shoot 53. Jackson Stark, Brody Ponder, Jacob Bergman and Noah Blythe all posted rounds of 56, while Lily Choate shot 63 and Thomas Morland finished at 68.
St. Vincent was led by Jenna Abernathy, who shot a 48 to tie for 25th. Isaac Kirn added a 50, while Gage Barnes finished with a 51. Drake Rellergert carded a 54 to round out the Indians’ varsity results.
