Students from The PCMS Pegleg Players (Perry County Middle School Drama Club) will present ‘One Stoplight Town’ by Tracy Wells. The show features 26 students, in grades 6-8, and premieres on December 1st. The show is directed by Robbie Riehn.
The PCMS Pegleg Players will present One Stoplight Town on December 1-2, at 7 PM and December 3 at 2 PM in the Old Senior High Performing Arts Auditorium. Tickets are $5, and are available in advance at http://pcmsd.booktix.com with a credit card (reserved seating) or the day of using cash only at the door (general admission). Children 2 and under are free.
One Stoplight Town is a story about people from a town so small that you might drive through without taking a second look. But if you stopped for just a moment, you might see a young boy and girl fall in love, a cantankerous grocery store owner coping with change, a daughter returning home while another daughter thinks about leaving, and a handywoman taking it all in while she fixes what is broken. These stories and more are filled with fun characters, lots of humor, plenty of heart and the theme that change comes for us all, whether we are ready or not. Director Robbie Riehn shares that he and the cast have had a great time producing this play. “Being from a small town, we can identify with many of the topics that are presented in this comedy. There are many parts of this play that hit home!” The show is approximately 80 minutes long and has one 10 minute intermission.
