Paul Donald Smith of St. Charles, Missouri, died Monday August 7, 2023 from complications of a stroke. He was 86.
“Paul” was born October 23, 1936 in Perryville, MO, the son of the late Robert L. and Leola (Deimund) Smith, and the late brother Gene R. (Cindy) Smith. After high school graduation, he served in the US Army, then studied at Southeast MO State University and SIU Carbondale with a degree in Architecture.
He was married June 21, 1959 to Noel Frances Earnhart of Caruthersville, MO. Mr. Smith worked for HH Robertson and Technical Products, Inc. until his retirement. He was an Elder of the Lutheran Church of the Atonement in Florissant, MO, an avid tennis player and golfer.
Survivors include his brother, Larry A. (Susan) Smith of Perryville; three daughters: Dr. Laura Smith of St. Charles, MO, Linda (Ray) Thompson of Pompano Beach, FL, and Lesley Yoder of Morton, IL; eight grandchildren and nine great grand-children. A memorial service will be planned at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
