The Missouri State High School Activities Association released the district assignments for boys and girls basketball Friday.
The biggest changes for the local teams came from the girls side, where each team either changed district or classes. Saxony went 13-13 and reached the district final last season.
The St. Vincent girls will stay in Class 2, but move to District 4 after being in District 3 last season. The girls will be grouped with Brentwood, Christian, Crystal City, New Haven, Principia and Valle Catholic. The Indians went 24-4 last season and return their key core that defeated Oran in the district final. St. Vincent fell to New Haven in Class 2 Sectionals.

The Perryville girls move to Class 4, District 2, after spending the last several years in District 1. The Perryville girls are now grouped with Park Hills Central, Herculaneum, Potosi, and Ste. Genevieve. The Pirates went 16-11, but returns a very young team with limited varsity experience.
The boys side remains much the same with St. Vincent still in Class 2, District 4. The Indians will be with Bismarck, Brentwood, Crystal City, New Haven, Valley, and Viburnum. The boys reached the district final last season, falling to Principia. The boys will have a young squad after graduating a big senior class.
