Linda Christine Lucas, 73, of Perryville, passed away Saturday, January 20, 2024 at Monticello House in Jackson.
She was born May 24, 1950 in Memphis, TN to Jack and Mary Rita (Hartman) Arrowsmith.
She and Jerry Lee Lucas Sr. were married on October 17, 1971. He survives in Peryville.
Linda was Radio Disc Jockey and of the Baptist faith. She loved music, sewing and crafts. Linda was full of life and always doing something. She had a great radio voice and personality. They called her “Sunshine” and that became her radio name, “Sunshine”. She loved all her children and grand children, always doing something for them. Linda was smart and great at math, in fact she did most of her children’s math homework. If you needed help she was there. If she had something and you needed it, it was yours. She loved entertaining and always had special dinners and decorations and ornaments galore. A true Southern Belle. Linda now has her wings and watching over her children and grandchildren. Amen
Survivors include one son, Jerry Lee “Jay” Lucas Jr. of Perryville; two daughters, Jennifer Lynn Lucas of Perryville, MO; Kristen Marie Arrowsmith of Perryville; one daughter-in-law, Sonya Lucas of Atlanta, GA; three grandchildren, Savannah, Eric and Julie.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Michael James Lucas; two brothers, Gary Vaughn Arrowsmith, and Jack “Bubba” Arrowsmith; .
