Letter to the Editor: Trump

Posted

Exculpatory evidence (e-mails) in the Dominion Voting Machine Case against FOX News revealed that FOX anchors were acknowledging Joe Biden’s “fair and square” victory among themselves, in November of 2020, even as they told their audiences that the election had been stolen. A recent local Letter-to-the-Editor was equally deceptive.
The letter said that Liberals are joining the Republican Party because Donald Trump’s judicial problems are politically motivated. Unfortunately, the writer failed to offer any evidence to support these assertions, no poll, no quote, nothing for those outside the choir.
The letter turned the truth upside down and inside out. Since the State of the Union Address opinion polls show President Biden gaining on the Republican standard barrier. And Party abandonment seems to be a Conservative pastime.
The most recent Party abandon-er was “lifelong Republican,” Geoff Duncan, who says he’s voting for Biden. The most visible Party abandon-er is Cassidy Hutchison, whose 1/6 Committee testimony proved that Trump knew his followers were armed when he sicked them on the Capital police. The best-known Party abandon-er is Liz Cheney.
Time will tell, but Cheney may one day be known as the primary spokesman for a Silent Minority among 21st Century Republicans. Her Conservative credentials are impeccable: she continues to believe in Republican trickle-down economics, Vladimir Putin is not her pal, she’s Pro-life, her relationship with her gay sister is strained, yet Cheney regards Donald Trump as an existential threat to the honorable civic traditions of our nation.

If there is a Silent Minority brewing on the Right, they’re focused on the Civil Judgements against the former president, those cases demonstrate that Trump’s disrespect for the Law precedes his entrance into politics.
You know, Trump could look the recent writer and his choir in the eyes, saying, “I did it for you. I launched the coup and ran the riot to promote your philosophy.” But he can’t say that about the stolen documents.
Valuable things sat on a man’s desk No one was looking. And the man couldn’t keep himself from stealing the valuable things.
Donald Trump earned the 88 criminal charges against him; they are the glistening varnish surrounding a man who has painted himself into a corner.
