In Set 3, both teams were deadlocked at 15-15 before Perryville pulled ahead 20-17, which forced Verseman to call a timeout. The Lady Indians shrunk the margin after tying things at 22-22 due to Perryville errors. However, Perryville went on a 3-0 run with an Ellie Gerler block and an Emma Blechle ace, giving the Lady Pirates another 25-22 win.

Neither team could maintain a lead over the other greater than two points in the fourth set. St. Vincent led by 10-8 before junior Brie Rubel shot a fastball past the Perryville frontline for a point, which resulted in the Lady Pirates taking a timeout. Perryville followed up with a 4-0 run, which cut the Lady Indians’ lead to 16-13. After trading points back and forth, St. Vincent junior middle hitter Alaina Cates scored the winning point with a kill off the center floor, resulting in a 25-18 win.

In the fifth and final set, St. Vincent moved into a 12-7 advantage. The team took advantage of a Perryville service error and a number of hitting miscues, which led to the Lady Indians finishing the set with a 15-8 win.
