John “Stan” Brown, 78, of Perryville, died Friday, December 15, 2023 at Barnes Siteman Cancer Center.
He was born August 1, 1945 in Lithium, MO to Vallie A. and Myrtle E. (Biri) Brown.
He and Clista M. Brown were married May 15, 1965. She survives in Perryville.
He ministered at the First Baptist Church in New Offenburg, MO. Stan enjoyed helping others and spending time with friends and family. He maintained his sense of humor while courageously fighting his battle with (MDS) Leukemia.
Survivors include his daughter, Dana (Brad) Mora of Festus, MO; son, Shane (Angela Skurtu) Brown of St. Louis; sister, Clara May Rudisaile of Perryville; two brothers, Fred E. Brown of Perryville, Leroy E. Brown of Perryville; four grandchildren, Matthew Schettler, Brandon Schettler, Gavin Schettler, Zeke Brown and three nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one nephew.
