St. Vincent, Saxony fall

JACKSON — The St. Vincent Indians and the Saxony Lutheran Crusaders fell to Polar Bluff during a tri-match held March 27.

Poplar Bluff finished with a team score of 140, followed by St. Vincent with 169 and Saxony with 182.

St. Vincent was led by Sam Koishor and Adam Brickhaus with 40 each, followed by Boston Tarrillion (44), Quinton Doza (45), Colden Prost (46), and Collin Wheeler (50).

In junior varsity competition, St. Vincent finished with a score of 195, led by Brecken Reiss with a 43, followed by Elliott Wibbenmeyer (44), Noah Winschel (53), Isaac Kirn (55).

Pitts leads Indians

HILLSBORO — St. Vincent long jumper Kellan Pitts finished sixth with a jump of 5.45 meters and ninth in the triple jump at 11.13 meters at the CO-ED Hawk Relays on March 24.

On the girls side, St. Vincent’s Sophia Taylor turned in a 15th place finish in the triple jump at 9.8 meters. She was 17th in the long jump, clearing 4.53 meters.

On the track, St. Vincent was second in the mixed sprint medley relay at 4:10.99, missing the top spot by 10.79 seconds.

The Indians’ primary 3,200 mixed relay team finished third in 9 minutes, 42.02 seconds, while the “B” team finished 12th in 11:16.04.

St. Vincent was fourth in the mixed 400-meter relay, finishing in 52.32,

In the mixed 800 sprint medley relay, the B team finished 9th at 2:03.79, topping the primary squad, who finished 11th in 2:05.26.

St. Vincent’s A team was fifth in the 800 mixed relay in 1:45.97, ahead of the B team, which finished 11th with a time of 1:52.90.

The B team finished 5th in the mixed 1,600 relay with a time of 4:07.51, while the A team was ninth in 4:20.56.

In the mixed 4,000 medley relay, St. Vincent placed eighth in 13:54.63, while the B team was 13th in 15.37.10.
