Edward Dale Bohnert, 74, of Perryville, formerly of Arnold, Missouri, passed away Friday, March 17, 2023 at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Festus. He was born July 28, 1948 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, the son of the late Virginia (nee Blessing) Bohnert Weber, and the late Edgar Bohnert.
Other family members are his wife Judith Ann “Judy” (nee Kline) Bohnert; brother Wayne (Janette) Bohnert of Perryville; sisters the late Wanda (the late Ervin) Boxdorfer, and Velda (James) Unterreiner of Perryville; mother-in-law Alice (the late Edward Jr.) Kline of Festus; step-son Richard Ballard of St. Louis, Missouri; and his late step-father Adolph Weber.
He was retired from the maintenance department of the Lindberg School District, and also worked at the Pittsburg Plate Glass Company’s Crystal City, Missouri plant. He was a member of Elks #1721, VFW #4282 in Perryville, American Legion #133 in Perryville, and the Festus-Crystal City Conservation Club. Ed was a dog lover, and enjoyed woodworking and restoring older cars.
Inurnment in Mount Hope Cemetery in Perryville. A memorial service will be at a later date.
