Community members are invited to share their thoughts about the leadership qualities they believe are important for the next superintendent of Perry County School District 32.

With the announcement by Superintendent Andy Comstock of his intention to retire at the end of the 2022-23 school year, the Perry County School District No. 32 Board of Education has contracted with Missouri School Boards Association to conduct a search for a deputy superintendent. The board’s intention is to fill this position, a three-year-contract, at its February 2022 meeting, and for the deputy superintendent to work with Mr. Comstock during the 2022-23 school year then assume leadership on July 1, 2023.

An online survey from MSBA which lists leadership qualities of a superintendent will be available through Tuesday, Dec. 14 at msbanet.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_4N5TW0Ohc366Tki. MSBA encourages parents, community members and District 32 employees to complete the survey, indicating the most desired leadership qualities they perceive to be most important in a new superintendent.

The results of this survey will be used by the Board of Education and consultants in seeking and screening applicants as well as for the development of the interview content.
