Joseph and Gerlie (German) Tucker, of Perryville, renewed their vows in a traditional Filipino wedding on Oct. 19, 2024, at Gerlie’s home church, St. Raymond of Peñafort Parish (built in 1835), located in Mangatarem in Pangasinan, Philippines.
Father Lain Mayo officiated the couple’s renewal of vows.
Gerlie is the daughter of Roger and Violeta German.
Joseph is the son of Rodney and Linda Tucker.
The bride was given in marriage by her father and mother. The matron of honor was Suzette Malab, sister of the bride. Best man was Ritchie Malab, brother-in-law of the bride. Ring bearer was Xian Carlo Salomeo, son of the bride. Flower girl was Atarah Ysabelle Malab, niece of the bride. Aras (coins) was Kobe Mace German, nephew of the bride.
The veil ceremony was by Mandy Kiefer, sister of the groom, and Rainier Mislang, friend of the bride.
The cord ceremony was by Mechelle Anne Estrada and Jefferson German, brother of the bride.
Candlelighters were Keisha German, niece of the bride, and Loregie Agapito, cousin of the bride.
Principal sponsors were Mr. and Mrs. Benjie and Pat Cagampan, Mr. and Mrs. Virgilio and Teresita Cagampan, Mr. Rodolfo German and Mrs. Nelia Mislang, Mr. Jay Ladislao and Mrs. Edna German, Mr. Lito Bulatao and Mrs. Virgie Agapito, all family of the bride.
Music was provided by the St. Raymond of Peñafort Youth Choir.
Later that evening, a reception and dance were held at the home of the bride’s parents. A traditional Filipino meal was prepared by the bride’s sister and brother-in-law’s catering and food services.
