Wilfred William Renner, 90, of Perryville, passed away Saturday, June 21, 2025, at St. Francis Medical Center.
He was born January 6, 1935, in Perryville, to William Joseph and Cecelia Juliana Bohnert Renner.
He and Mary Lucille (Behrle) Renner were married on April 27, 1963, in Highland, and were blessed with 62 years of marriage. She survives in Perryville.
Wilfred served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Wilfred enjoyed riding and repairing bicycles, camping and traveling with his family, playing bingo with his wife, and reading the daily newspapers.
Survivors include two sons, Jeffery (Bobbi Jo) Renner and Stanley (Sarah) Renner; daughter, Jolene (Chris) Hancock; four grandchildren, Olivia (Drew) Garvey, Jon (Amber) Renner, Tristan Hancock, and Mary Renner; and two great-grandchildren, Etta Jo Garvey and Augustine Garvey.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Marcella Wills and Loretta Pingel.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, and from 8 to 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville.
The funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 26, 2025, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville, with Rev. Fred Wandera officiating.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Highland with Military Honors provided by American Legion Post 133 and Delta Team.
Memorial contributions can be given to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
