Wanda Kay Gerler, 75, of Frohna, peacefully passed away Monday, April 14, 2025, at her residence surrounded by her loving family and friends.

She was born February 14, 1950, in Sikeston, to Mearl Arthur and Mary Marie (Tucker) Masterson.
Wanda and Clinton E. Gerler were married on August 8, 1975, in Kennett. He preceded her in death on November 4, 2018.

Wanda served as a medical assistant at the Rural Medical Clinic at Frohna, alongside Dr. Mark Schabbing. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Altenburg and the Lutheran Women's Missionary League and served as a Stephens Minister at the Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau. She loved to sew, embroidery, gardening, cooking and crafts.

She loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren. Most of all, she loved her Lord and Savior.

Survivors include three sons, Kevin (Debbie) Petty of Frohna, Bryan (Rhonda) Petty of Uniontown, Scott (Amy) Gerler of Frohna; step-daughter, Leith (Aaron) McHugh of Colorado Springs, Colo.; sister, Margaret Poole of Cooter; brother, Willam (Tracey) Masterson of Steele; 12 grandchildren, Nickolas Petty, Jay Petty, Holden McHugh, Averi McHugh, Makailyn Gerler, Taegan Gerler, Emersyn Pitts, Ellie Gerler, Kellan Pitts, Charli Gerler, Ridge Gerler and Kollins Gerler. She is also survived by her special friends, Barb Seibel and Shelley Sachs.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Clinton Gerler; one granddaughter, Hadley McHugh, four brothers, Mearl Masterson Jr, Micum Masterson, Gary Masterson, Willie Cantrell Jr; three sisters, Violet Swinney, Pamela Pucket, Stella Masterson.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Altenburg.

Funeral Service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 19, 2025, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Altenburg with Rev. Frank Lucas officiating.

Burial will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Altenburg.

Memorial contributions may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church Building Fund or Journey Hospice.
