Virginia “Ginny” L. Katt, 89, of Chester, passed away at 9:30 p.m. Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Independence Care Center in Perryville.
She was born January 24, 1937, in Chester, to the late Rudolph and Gladys (née Mizer) Feegle.
Ginny married Victor E. Katt on October 9, 1965, at St. John Lutheran Church in Chester. He preceded her in death on March 16, 1999.
She co-owned the McConkey-Katt car dealership and also worked as a telephone operator in Chester.
Ginny was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Chester. She was also a member of the Chester Women’s Club, Chester Hospital Auxiliary, Chester Country Club, and the Red Hat Society.
Surviving is her loving son, Kyle Rudolph Katt of Chester. She is also survived by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and many dear friends.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Pechacek Funeral Homes in Chester, with Rev. Timothy Sims officiating.
Interment will follow at St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Chester.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Pechacek Funeral Homes in Chester.
