The Perry County School District 32 Board of Education will host a community engagement open house Saturday, Jan. 17, to share plans and gather input on the rebuilding of Perryville High School.
The meeting is scheduled from 10 a.m. to noon at the Robinson Event Center, 2411 Walters Lane. Community members are invited to attend.
During the open house, representatives from Sapp Design Architects will present proposed plans and renderings for a redesigned Perryville High School. District officials said the designs were developed using feedback from community members and PHS stakeholders.
District leaders will also discuss the estimated cost of the project and outline possible financing options. Topics are expected to include the district’s insurance payout, a potential bond issue that could appear on the April ballot, and the possibility of future reimbursement through FEMA.
District 32 Superintendent Dr. Fara Jones said the meeting is intended to keep the community informed and involved as plans move forward.
“We invite our families, staff, and community members to join us for this meeting as we share plans for a project that will impact our community for generations,” said Jones.
