Tootsie Roll Drive Chairman Tom Zarlingo (left) and Grand Knight Jay Lottes make the first donation for Knights of Columbus Council #1263’s 53rd annual Tootsie Roll Drive, which will take place this weekend, Oct. 10-12. Volunteers from the Knights of Columbus and the Ladies Auxiliary will be soliciting donations in exchange for Tootsie Rolls. This year’s goal is $8,000. One-half of the total will support the Knights of Columbus Development Center at Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital in St. Louis. Southeast Missouri Special Olympics and Special Olympics Missouri’s Training for Life campus will each receive $200 donations. The remaining amount will support the Lucas & Friends Backyard Adventures playground at Robert Miget Park in Perryville.
