The St. Vincent High School Elks Student of the Month Award goes to Avery Helmers for the month of March. Avery is the daughter of Laura and Matt Helmers of St. Mary.
Avery has been a member of Pep Club and has accumulated many service hours by helping church and community events throughout the years. She also uses her god-given talents by singing and playing guitar in her spare time.
Her teachers state, “Avery is a responsible, friendly, and hardworking student. This year, she is tutoring younger students and consistently goes above and beyond to help them succeed. Avery is very conscientious and always does her best. She takes pride in her work and approaches each task with dedication and care.”
Avery plans to attend Jefferson College for Nursing.
