St. Louis woman arrested on multi-county charges

JEFFERSON CITY — A 28-year-old St. Louis woman was arrested Monday afternoon in Ste. Genevieve County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Authorities report that Chantel M. Williams was taken into custody at approximately 3:37 p.m. The arrest includes two fourth-degree assault charges out of Perry County, as well as Ste. Genevieve County charges for failure to register a motor vehicle, driving without a valid license and operating a vehicle without insurance.

Williams was being held in the Ste. Genevieve County Jail, pending the posting of bond.
