The family of the late Hubert and Rita Richardet established an annual scholarship award to commemorate the more than 30 years efforts to help and bring awareness to special needs children and their families. Awards are given to a graduating senior from both St. Vincents and Perryville High Schools who plan to earn a degree in the field of special needs, teaching, nursing, and social work. Dexter Strattman of Perryville High School receives the award. Presenting are Jeff and Kathy (Richardet) Ploeger.
