Ronald L. Richardet, 82, of Perryville, passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at his residence.
He was born August 23, 1943, in Perry County to Bernard F. and Mary Edna (Gibbar) Richardet.
Ronald and Doris Berkbigler were married April 8, 1967, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Highland. They were blessed with 58 years of marriage.
He served in the Army National Guard and worked for the International Shoe Company for 27 years before retiring from Gilster Mary Lee after 24 years.
Ronald was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville and American Legion Post #133. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. Ronald loved gardening, especially his roses, and taking care of his lawn and landscaping. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. Ronald loved his wife dearly and was a wonderful example of how a husband and father should be.
Survivors include his wife, Doris; two daughters, Brenda (Brad) Knight and Gail (William) Bledsoe; two brothers, Thomas (Lois) Richardet and William (Joyce) Richardet; a sister, Imogene (Gary) Zoellner; and four grandchildren, Kristopher and Kristin Knight, and Alison and Abigail Bledsoe.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Geraldine Zoellner; and a brother-in-law, Gilbert Zoellner.
Visitation was held from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, January 9, 2026, at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville and continued from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday, January 10, 2026, at the funeral home. The Rosary was recited at 8:30 a.m.
A Funeral Mass was held at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 10, 2026, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville, with Rev. Joe Geders officiating.
Entombment was in the Mary Queen of Heaven Mausoleum at Mount Hope Cemetery in Perryville.
