Roger E. Brown, 80, of Perryville, passed away Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Ste. Genevieve Care Center.
He was born May 11, 1945, in Brewer to Emil Frank and Velda Mary Catherine (Moore) Brown.
Roger and Carol Ann Cattoor were married March 13, 1965, at St. Mary’s of the Barrens Catholic Church in Perryville. She survives in Perryville.
He was a 1964 graduate of Perryville High School. He then served in the United States Navy for three years. Roger worked as a carpenter for 21 years and later retired as an aircraft mechanic from Sabreliner Corporation after 17 years. He was a member of Christ the Savior Catholic Church and the American Legion Post #133 for more than 50 years. Roger loved restoring old tractors, especially his father’s 1956 Ferguson F40, which he completely rebuilt. He was very meticulous in everything he did. Roger also enjoyed gardening, pickling, and canning. He never threw away an empty jar of pickle juice without first filling it with hard-boiled eggs or something from the garden. Roger loved spending time with his family and friends, hunting, fishing, and fixing or repurposing anything he could find a new use for. He was a jack of all trades and loved by many.
