Frank Robinson of Perryville, a longtime businessman and community leader, will be inducted into the 2025 Missouri Veterans Hall of Fame later this month.
The Hall of Fame recognizes Missourians who not only served honorably in the military but also made exceptional contributions to their communities, the state, and the nation after their service. Robinson joins five other inductees this year, along with honorary inductee General Maxwell Taylor, a distinguished leader in World War II and the Cold War. Robinson’s path to the honor began with his service in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, where he led an infantry platoon. His time in combat was cut short after he was injured and returned home to finish his service. That experience, though difficult, helped shape his lifelong commitment to both veterans and community service.
Back in Perryville, Robinson began working as a plumber in his father’s small business. With a vision for growth, he took the reins and transformed it into Robinson Construction Company, a firm that has grown to employ hundreds and complete projects across the region. While building a successful business, Robinson never lost sight of giving back.
He has been deeply involved in initiatives that support veterans. Robinson was a founding member and director of Missouri’s National Veterans Memorial in Perryville, a site that has become a place of reflection and pride for families across the Midwest. He also served as chair of the Love Our Veterans Committee, which organized major fundraisers to support veteran programs and causes.
Robinson’s service extends well beyond veteran initiatives. Locally, he has been a strong advocate for community development, serving as a city alderman and as a member of the Perryville Planning Commission. Those roles allowed him to contribute directly to the city’s growth and quality of life.
The induction ceremony is open to the public and will take place at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, in the Missouri State Capitol Rotunda in Jefferson City. Attendees will hear the stories of Robinson and his fellow inductees and learn more about how their service and leadership continue to shape Missouri.
