A Perryville man was injured in a two-vehicle collision at 1:20 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 5, at the intersection of U.S. 61 and Burma Lane in Perry County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred when a northbound 2006 Chevrolet Impala driven by a 33-year-old man from Brazoria, Texas, crossed the centerline and struck the front of a southbound 2022 Chevrolet 1500 pickup driven by a 74-year-old Perryville man.
The impact caused the pickup to overturn onto its passenger side off the roadway.
The Perryville driver, who was wearing a seat belt, was transported by Mercy Perry EMS to Parkland Medical Center in Farmington, where he was treated for minor injuries. The driver of the Impala was not injured.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene by Perry County Towing. The Impala sustained moderate damage, while the pickup was totaled.
