Paul I. Renner, 85, of Perryville, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 25, 2025, at his residence.
He was born June 28, 1940, in Longtown, to Christian and Frieda (Leible) Renner.
Paul and Katherine A. Schuessler were married on July 2, 1966, at St. Mary’s Cathedral in Cape Girardeau.
They were blessed with 59 years of marriage. She survives him in Perryville.
Paul was a retired diesel mechanic who had spent 37½ years with Wiethop Truck Sales in Cape Girardeau. He loved antiques, auctions, flea markets, and estate sales. He was especially interested in International Harvester tractors and trucks. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Apple Creek.
Survivors include his wife, four siblings: Jerome Renner of Perryville; Rita (Don) Kohlfeld of St. Charles; Allen (Bonnie) Renner of Independence; and Sharon Schnurbusch of Perryville. Additionally, he is survived by two sisters-in-law: Pat Renner of Cape Girardeau and Margie (Mark) Kinnison of Perryville.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother Gib Renner; his sisters Theresa (Earl) Webb, Ann (Jim) Shrum, and Leola (Gene) Bock; and his sister-in-law Ruth Ann Renner.
Visitation took place from 7 to 9:15 a.m. on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville.
Funeral Mass was held at 10 a.m. Thursday, August 28, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Apple Creek, with Rev. Michael Benz officiating.
Burial was at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Perryville.
