Megan Lynn Elder, 28, of Perryville, passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at St. Louis University Medical Center.
She was born Nov. 28, 1997, in Cape Girardeau to Roger L. Elder Jr. and Michelle L. Welty.
Megan had a loving heart and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, as well as her two beloved cats, SJ and Auggie.
Survivors include her father and stepmother, Roger and Susan Elder; grandmother, Mary Ann Rollet; and extended family, Wade, Amy and Drew Elder, Ryan, Penny, Ainsley and Keira Kennedy, Robin and Stephen Smith, Garrett and Amber Richardet, Isaac Elder, Dillion and Christen Cissell, Stephen and Angel Welty, Darrell and Gina LeClere, Dana, Malia and Raylee Parmer, Garrett, Jessica (Wengert) Levi and Ryan Parmer, Billy and Susan Parmer, and Brandon Parmer.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Michelle L. Welty; grandparents, Roger and Judy (Vessells) Elder; grandmother, Karen “Sue” Rodewald; grandfathers, Bill Parmer Sr. and Merlin Rollet; and uncles, Travis Elder and Travis Welty.
Visitation will be from 8 to 10:50 a.m. Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Sereno.
The funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Sereno, with Rev. James Ward C.M. officiating.
Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery in Perryville.
