Mark S. Renaud

Posted

Mark Steven Renaud passed from earthly life and met Jesus face-to-face on March 8th, 2025, at his home in Perryville.

He was born July 7, 1960.

Mark is survived by his father, Paul Raymond Renaud, and is preceded by his mother, Mary Ellen (Paige) Renaud, and eight unborn children and four unborn grandchildren.
He married Karla Kay James on June 16, 1984. He loved and cherished her for 40 years. God blessed them with eight children: Benjamin (Anna) Renaud, Abraham (Fairlight) Renaud, Moriah (Jake) Mankin, Zechariah (Sarah) Renaud, Nathanael (Lillian) Renaud, Josias (Samantha) Renaud, Jonathan Renaud, and Luke Renaud.

Mark had eight grandchildren that he adored: Susannah, Bethany, Lillian, Emersyn, Everett, Elloise, Liberty, and Carver.

He was a father, grandfather, and friend to many more. He is survived by six siblings: Paul (Mary Beth) Renaud, Tom (Sandy) Renaud, Greg (Jeanne) Renaud, Michelle (Buck) Burnette, Matt (Jeannie) Renaud, and Chrissy (Olon) Williams. Mark was also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends who all remember his legacy of living a righteous and holy life, always desiring honorable things for himself and those around him.

He was a kind and available friend. He was an advocate of life — both the unborn and those approaching death. He ministered in nursing homes, jails, and Hope Church, where he was an ordained minister. He exhorted everyone, "Don't forget about the Lord Jesus! He loves you and has a plan and purpose for your life." His motto was Galatians 2:20: “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me...”

Mark graduated from Truman State University in Kirksville with a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design and Technology and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Teaching. He was a leader of the local chapter of Trail Life USA, a member of the local Republican Central Committee and the St. Vincent de Paul Society, and a past board member of Bible Study Together and many other ministries and organizations.

2 Corinthians 4:7 was the passage of Scripture he had on his phone the morning of his departure. "But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us."

A private Graveside Service was held in the Family Cemetery near French Village.
A Service for the Celebration of Mark’s Life, with Brother Peter Schrock officiating, will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are preferred for his beloved wife’s use, or contributions can be made to any pregnancy resource center to honor his championship for life.
