Marciá L. Watters, 54, of Red Bud, Illinois, passed away at 10:08 p.m. on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at her residence.
She was born to the late Rev. Armand J. and Doris K. (née Lobitz) Mueller on May 14, 1970, in Ness City, Kansas.
Marciá married Jeffrey Watters on June 8, 1991, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Red Bud (Prairie), Illinois, and he survives.
She worked as a physical therapist assistant at Mid America Rehab in Perryville for over 30 years.
Marciá was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Red Bud, Illinois, and sang in the choir.
She was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and Blues and enjoyed traveling the world with her family.
Survivors include her husband, Jeffrey Watters, of Red Bud, Illinois; two children, Claudia Watters (Mitchell Dutton) of Springdale, Arkansas, and Michael Watters of Red Bud, Illinois; two brothers, Thomas Mueller of Naperville, Illinois, and Daniel (Bethany) Mueller of Davenport, Florida; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father.
Visitation will occur from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday at Pechacek Funeral Homes in Red Bud, Ill., and will continue from 9 to 10 a.m. on Saturday at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Red Bud, Ill.
The funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Red Bud, Ill., with the Rev. Mark Winkelman officiating.
The interment will take place in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Red Bud, Illinois.
Memorials are suggested to St. John’s Lutheran School, Red Bud, Illinois.
