Karen F. Lukefahr, 72, of Altenburg, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2026, at The Villas of Jackson.
She was born July 8, 1953, in Perryville, to Edgar O. and Nelda R. (Perr) Palisch.
Karen retired as the office manager at the Perry County Soil and Water District after 46 years.
She enjoyed spending time with friends. She loved her grandchildren and attended all of their sporting events and activities. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Altenburg.
Survivors include a son, Jon (Rachelle) Lukefahr of Perryville; a daughter, Liz (Jamie) Koeberl of Altenburg; two brothers, Allen Palisch of Glen Carbon and Donald (Linda) Palisch of Altenburg; eight grandchildren, Kayla (Brad) Winschel, Tyler Lukefahr, Trevor Lukefahr, Claire Koeberl, Allison Koeberl, Cole Koeberl, Lauren Lukefahr and Trey Lukefahr; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation was from 6:30 to 10 a.m. Monday, March 16, 2026, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Altenburg.
The Funeral Service was held at 10 a.m. Monday, March 16, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Altenburg, with Rev. Frank Lucas officiating.
Burial was at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Altenburg.
