Joseph V. “Joe” Lottes, Jr., 84, of Perryville, peacefully passed away surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at Independence Care Center in Perryville.
He was born August 9, 1940, in Cape Girardeau, to Joseph Vincent Sr. and Adelaide Elizabeth (Siebert) Lottes.
Joe and Carol A. Hotop were married September 21, 1973, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. She survives him in Perryville.
He served in the United States Navy. Joe was the owner and manager of Rozier’s Food Centre in Perryville and Rozier’s Country Mart in Ste. Genevieve and Chester. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville, as well as the Knights of Columbus Council #1263, American Legion Post #133, AMVETS Post #94, and Perryville Elks Lodge #2701.
Survivors include two sons, Brad (Renee) Lottes of Perryville and Brian (Hannah) Lottes of St. Charles; daughter, Renee (Cory) Strattman of Perryville; brother, Robert “Bob” Lottes of Perryville; nine grandchildren: Brett (Chelsey) Schamburg, Blake Schamburg, Chase Lottes, Adelaide Lottes, Emma Lottes, Levi Lottes, Payton Strattman, Jackson Strattman, and Max Strattman; and two great-granddaughters, Emerie Schamburg and Elyse Schamburg.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. on Friday, June 13, 2025, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville and will continue from 9 to 9:45 a.m. on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at the church.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 14, 2025, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville, with Rev. Joe Geders, C.M., officiating.
Entombment will be in Mary Queen of Heaven Mausoleum at Mount Hope Cemetery in Perryville.
Military Honors will be provided by American Legion Post # 133 and the U.S. Naval Honors Team.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Schools or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
