In Loving Memory of Gloria Sherrill from Brazeau, beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, and Friend.
Gloria Sherrill passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2025, peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer. Her strength, warmth, and deep love for those around her will never be forgotten.
Born December 10, 1950, to John William Martin and Zida (Brewer) Martin, both of whom preceded her in death.
Gloria’s life was marked by devotion to her family, strength, and an enduring spirit. On November 26, 1977, she married the love of her life, Roger Sherrill, in Brazeau. Together, they built a beautiful life and raised three children: Connie Koenig, who preceded her in death; Jim Schlichting of Brazeau; and Sheila (Daniel) Foster of Altenburg.
Gloria found immense joy in being a grandmother to Melissa (Cary) Roth, Laura (Rocky) Dosenbach, Joseph Foster, and Sarah Foster. Her love reached even further as a great-grandmother to Cohen Roth, Cailyn Roth, Ayda Dosenbach, and Aaron Svehla, each of whom brought a sparkle to her eyes and warmth to her heart.
She is also survived by her brothers: Vest Martin of Mexico, Dean (Gina) Martin of Perryville, and Doug (Lisa) Martin of Perryville.
Gloria lived a life full of simple pleasures-gardening in the sunshine, casting a line while fishing, enjoying peaceful days on the water, and getting lost in the pages of a good book. But above all, she cherished time spent with her family. Her laughter, wisdom, and unconditional love were the heartbeat of every gathering.
Per Gloria’s wishes, there will be no public service.
Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
