Gilbert E. “Gib” Triller Sr., 90, of Perryville, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2025, at Hubble Creek Assisted Living in Jackson.
He was born Aug. 25, 1935, in Menfro, to Joseph and Mary Viola (Tucker) Triller.
Gib and Rose Catherine Winkler were married Feb. 11, 1956, at Assumption Church in Perryville. She preceded him in death on Nov. 23, 2013.
He served six years in the Missouri National Guard. Gib worked at Hager Hinge Co. as a plater and later became a foreman for International Shoe Company. He also worked for Gilster-Mary Lee. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and watching westerns. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville.
Survivors include two sons, Gilbert (Debra) Triller Jr. and Roy Triller; a brother, Dale (Joyce) Triller; two sisters, Velda (Allen) Baer and Wanda (Prentiss) Waltman; seven grandchildren, Lisa (Sean) Craft, Jill (Silas) Warner, Julie (Chuck) Beckerman, Jeremy (Michelle) Triller, Liz (Kyle) Triller, Dylan (Paige) Triller and Corey (Hanna) Bohnert; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two infant children, Denny Triller and Kevin Triller; a brother, Philmo Triller; and two sisters, Alberta Stewart and Betty Knapp.
Visitation was held from 7 to 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2025, at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville.
A funeral Mass was held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2025, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville, with the Rev. Joe Geders, C.M., officiating.
Burial was at Mount Hope Cemetery in Perryville. Military honors will be provided by Delta Team and American Legion Post 133.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or St. Vincent de Paul School Systems.
