Earl P. Mueller, 89, of Perryville, passed away Friday, June 27, 2025, at Riverview At The Park Care & Rehab Center in Ste. Genevieve.
He was born November 27, 1935, in Frohna, to Joseph F. and Elsie E. (Schlichting) Mueller.
Earl and Shirleen M. Petzoldt were married on June 6, 1959. She preceded him in death on November 22, 2021.
He had worked as an assistant superintendent for Gilster Mary Lee for many years. After retirement, he worked at Perry County School District 32. Earl was a faithful member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville, where he served on the Immanuel Lutheran Board of Elders. He loved Hoeckele’s Bakery and loved listening to Cardinal baseball.
Survivors include two sons and two daughters: David (Deanna) Mueller of Perryville, Denise Mueller of Fort Worth, Tex., Deborah (Todd) Buerck of Perryville and Darren (Anna) Mueller of Perryville; three sisters: Doris Favier of Perryville, Helen Stover of Cape Girardeau, and Nancy Petrulis of Perryville; two sisters-in-law: Ardene Koenig of Arnold, and Jean Petzoldt of Pocohontas; six grandchildren: Christopher (Alison) Porter, Megan (David) Berkbigler, Ryan (Kindle) Mueller, Brooke Buerck, Austin Buerck, and Carlie Mueller; and seven great-grandchildren: Ava, Janie, Paige, Jules, Jillian, Kennedy and Jaxson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Shirleen M. Mueller; son, Daniel L. Mueller; and five brothers, Shirley, Eugene, Edward, Harry and Robert Mueller.
Visitation will be held from 8:30 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville.
The funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 3, 2025, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville, with Rev. Matthew Marks officiating.
Burial will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Perryville.
