A motor vehicle accident at the downtown Webb Law Firm office in Perryville on Friday left the front of the office a little more breezy than ever intended. According to a report from the Perryville Police Department, officers were detailed to 22 N. Jackson St. for a report of a vehicle striking a building at approximately 2 p.m. Upon their arrival, they found the left side of the storefront smashed in by a nearby vehicle. Officers identified the driver of the vehicle as Eric End, 60, of Perryville. End told officers that he was attempting to park and accidentally hit the accelerator instead of the brake pedal, which caused the vehicle to go over the curb and into the Webb Law Firm’s building. End’s vehicle had been removed from the building and parked in a parking space upon our arrival. The law firm was closed because of the Juneteenth holiday. No injuries were reported.
