Dorothy Mudge was born June 23, 1929, in Elvins, the daughter of Alonzo and Lula Freeland, and passed away Oct. 10, 2025, at the age of 96.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Melvin Mudge, whom she married Oct. 26, 1946, in Fredericktown; one son, Jerry Mudge; two brothers, John Freeland and Jack Freeland; and three sisters, Virginia Stevens, Judy Freese and Delores “Dee” Arkowski.
Dorothy is survived by two sons, Chuck (Joan) Mudge and Neal (Susan) Mudge; one sister-in-law, Nelda Ballew; six grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed gardening, socializing, caring for others, and spending time with her family.
Visitation was held from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2025, at Follis & Sons Funeral Home in Fredericktown
Funeral services followed at 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Interment followed at Christian Cemetery.
