Denise Geralyn Figge, 66 years old, of Sainte Genevieve, died Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis.
She was born August 10, 1958, in Perryville.
She is survived by fiance, Dean Malacarne of Millstadt, Ill.; son, Craig Bleckler of Sainte Genevieve; daughter, Melissa Bleckler of Festus; son-in-law, Shawn Barker; two sisters, Theresa “Tex” (Mike “Crow”) Gegg, Sharon (Dennis) Werner; two brothers, Dave (Sharon) Figge, Kevin (Belated Debbie) Figge; two sisters-in-law, Mary Figge, Loretta Figge; grandchildren, Devon Schweigert, Landon Barker, Ryder Barker, and Noah Cotten; multitudes of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Gilbert Figge; mother, Edna Figge; daughter, Marcie Barker; sister, Kathy Lewandowski; two brothers, Francis Figge, Kenny Figge.
Visitation will be held from 4 until 8 p.m. on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at Basler Funeral Home.
There will be a 10 a.m. Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Zell on Friday, January 31, 2025.
Graveside service will follow mass at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery at the Columbarium.
Denise was a loving and loyal person. Family was always first! Denise loved to travel, especially to Florida, Arizona, and Branson. Denise was an avid blood donor and enjoyed shopping at Bath & Body Works as well as Kohl’s. You could also find her out shopping at thrift stores and going to yard sales. Denise was truly one of a kind and has faced many challenges throughout the last 10 years of her life.
