Cynthia Ann Wilson, 85, of Perryville, passed away Saturday, January 18, 2025, at the Independence Care Center of Perry County.
She was born March 22, 1939, in Cape Girardeau to Russell A. and Gladys (Brewer) Elder.
Cynthia and Larry J. Wilson were married June 28, 1958, at the Assumption Church in Perryville. He preceded her in death on March 15, 2008.
She worked as a home maker and also as a sales associate at Famous Barr. Cynthia loved gardening, especially growing orchids, antiques, and reading.
Cynthia was of the Catholic faith.
Survivors include three children, Christine (Lewis) Sweeney, Mitchell Wilson, Kathryn Miles; brother, Tom (Juanita) Elder; four grandchildren, Jon (Micaela) Wilzonski, Wyatt Ruehling, Caroline Wilson, Suzie Wilson.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Virginia Meister and Joanne Moore; and son-in-law, Roland Miles;
Visitation will be from 9:00 am to 9:50 am on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church in Perryville.
Mass will be at 10:00 am Saturday, January 25, 2025, at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church in Perryville, with Rev. Fred Wandera C.M. officiating.
Burial will be at Jefferson Barracks at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be given to the family for a charity of their choice.
