Clarence Joseph Buchheit, 91, of Perryville, passed away peacefully March 5, 2026.
He was born August 7, 1934, to Theodore and Edna (Meyer) Buchheit.
During his life, Clarence raised seven children with his first wife, Mary Jane Buchheit of Old Appleton.
During that time, he worked full time as an aircraft painter at Rockwell Saberliner at the Perryville airport in McBride. He also served in the United States Naval Reserves for more than 40 years, first as a mineman and later cross-rated to gunner’s mate, attaining the rank of Petty Officer First Class.
Clarence was known for his enjoyment of the outdoors, taking his family on many camping trips across the country, and for his love of bowling. He was a member of local bowling leagues in Perryville and became a very skilled bowler over time. In fact, he rolled a perfect 300 game on several occasions. Many of his closest friendships came through bowling, and he was greatly admired by those who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Earl, Alan, Larry and Kenny; and daughter, Janice Ann Winkler. Survivors include his brother, Ronnie; sister, Stella Moore; second wife, Dorothy; children, Sherry (Rick) Stark, Nicholas, Russell, Todd, Leslie (Michael) French and Renee (Eric) Doza; 16 grandchildren; and numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren.
Clarence’s remains were cremated, and his ashes were buried at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Crosstown.
As per his wishes, there was no funeral or burial services.
