Beloved Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather, and pillar of his community, Carl Lee Johnson, passed away peacefully at the age of 90 on Jan. 28, 2025, in Waxahachie, Texas.
Born in Hannibal, Missouri, on December 15th, 1934, Carl’s life was one of service, love, and compassion.
Carl married Sylvia Wardlaw in 1955. Together, they built a loving family and life full of cherished memories during their 69 years of marriage.
Carl is survived by his wife, Sylvia Johnson; children, Donald, Jerry, Mike, Beverly, and Lisa; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Carl’s kindness extended far beyond his family, touching the lives of everyone he met.
The family received visitors from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2025, at Boze Mitchell McKibbin Funeral Home.
The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2025, at Boze Mitchell McKibbin Funeral Home Chapel.
