Bonnie Rita Clements, 63, of Perryville, passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at her residence surrounded by her family.
She was born February 26, 1962, in Perryville to Cletus Joseph and Ruby Alberta (Schepers) Schumer.
Bonnie and Randy Clements were married on December 28, 1984, in Perryville. He preceded her in death on October 7, 2023.
She worked as a beloved respiratory therapist for Perry County Memorial Hospital and Mercy Perry Hospital for over 40 years. Bonnie enjoyed spending time gardening, shopping and walking at the seminary. She loved baking, cooking large meals for her family, and was well known for making her famous sweet tea. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville.
Survivors include two sons, Eric (Renee) Clements, RJ (Addie) Clements; two daughters, Kadaysha (Joshua) Schremp, Cara (Judd) Naeger; four brothers, Tom Schumer, Ralph Schumer, Ronald Schumer, Barney Schumer; four sisters, Kathie Wheeler, Eileen Mueller, Rose Biri, Ruth Geile; twelve grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Travis Clements, brother, Michael Schumer, and sister, Cynthia Schumer.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville and will continue from 8 to 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at the funeral home.
The Rosary will be recited at 8:30 a.m.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville, with Rev. Ranjan Lima C.M. officiating.
Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery in Perryville.
Memorial contributions may be given to the St. Vincent Centennial Endowment Fund.
