The Beta Lambda chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa met Oct. 14 at the Catalyst Center with the theme “Move Forward in Greatness.”
Hostesses were Dana Hogard, Robyn Lukefahr, Julie Robles and Lisa Vinton Rush. Hospitality was provided by Michael-Ann Kellerman, Tammie Lukefahr and Janet Schuessler.
Thirty-one members answered Mary Kutz’s roll-call question, “What is your favorite Halloween candy?” October birthdays were celebrated for Janet Schuessler, Olivia Carter, Debra Cobb, Brenda Glaus, Brenda Smith, Cheryl Ray Layton and Candy Mueller. Kathy Scholl won the raffle prize.
The evening included the presentation of the chapter’s classroom grant to Sarah Hendricks for digital science portfolios. Five guests attended after learning about Alpha Delta Kappa through the Founder’s Day program, quilt displays and conversations with members.
October was Altruism Month, and members planned to serve breakfast to veterans on Oct. 21 and assist with Senior Center Bingo on Oct. 28.
