Agnes Marcella Martin, 95, of St. Mary, passed away Thursday, March 13, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at Mercy Hospice House in St. Louis.
She was born January 11, 1930, at her home in Perry County to Henry and Myrtle (Lawrence) Doll.
Agnes and Richard Martin were married on Aug. 21, 1948. They spent 58 beautiful years together before his passing on Oct. 15, 2006.
She worked at Prince Gardner for many years. Agnes was a devoted catholic at Immaculate Conception Church in Saint Mary and taught at the Parish School of Religion. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her greatest joy in life was her family and spending time with them. She was adored by her family, church, and everyone who came into her life through her 95 years of life.
Survivors include two sons, Michael (Diane) Martin of Long Beach, Calif., and Thomas (Donna) Martin of Saint Mary; two daughters, Debbie Martin of Anaheim Hills, Calif., and Carol Hastie of Des Peres; grandchildren Debra (Michael) Schroeder, Michelle Martin, Zachary Martin, Elizabeth (Andrew) Meyr, Andrew (Addie) Martin, Jonathan (Samantha) Bradshaw, Curtis Hastie, Shawn (Leann) Martin, and Jason Martin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband, son Daniel (Mary Pat) Martin, granddaughter Jessica Bradshaw; two sisters, Evelyn Voelker and Joan Gibbar; and two brothers, Arthur Doll and Patrick Doll.
Visitation took place at the Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 19, 2025, and resumed at 9 a.m. Thursday, March 20, 2025, at Immaculate Conception Church, with mass beginning at 10 a.m.
Burial will follow mass at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Saint Mary.
