Willard “Dean” Kain, 77, of Perryville passed away Sunday, December 11, 2022 at Southeast Hospital.
He was born January 19, 1945 in Cape Girardeau to Erhardt and Edna Griffin Kain.
Dean was a graduate of Central High School where he played on the track and baseball teams. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy as a GMG3 during the Vietnam War on the USS Waldron.
After his service he went to work in construction, which lasted 40 plus years.
He and Iris Weinkein were married July 30, 1983.
Dean enjoyed family, friends, hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Iris Kain of Perryville; son, Steve (Tracy) Kain of Jackson; four grandchildren, Anthony Kain, Paige (Brad) Burns, Sadie Earney, all of Jackson, Matthew Earney of Ohio; three great-grandchildren, Brooklynn, Benjamin, Samuel; two sisters, Judy Middleton of Cape Girardeau and Brenda McClain of Oran. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and three sisters.
Visitation will be Thursday, December 15, 2022 from 4-8 p.m. at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel and also one hour prior to the funeral. Funeral Service will be at 10 am Friday at the funeral home with Rev. Donny Ford officiating.
