Virginia (Linebarger) Schnurbusch, 91, of Perryville died Thursday, September 22, 2022 at Independence Care Center of Perry County.
She was born September 4, 1931 in Perryville to Troy and Lorene (Prost) Linebarger.
She and Jerome Schnurbusch were married April 26, 1952.
Virginia was a teacher for 44 years. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Church, American Legion Auxiliary, Past National Vice President of American Legion Auxiliary, Alpha Delta Kappa (Women Educators) Sorority, Ladies Sodality, Knights of Columbus Auxiliary, Girls State Committee, Community Counselor Board for 10 years.
Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Perna of Perryville, Nancy McMillian of Perryville; two sons, Steve Schnurbusch of Perryville, Larry Schnurbusch of Denver; three sisters, Joan Gray of Salem, Joyce Wagner of Edgar Springs, Rose Mary Sturm of St. Louis; brother, James Linebarger of Orlando; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents; one sister Shirley Layton.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at Ford and Young Funeral Home in Perryville with American Legion Auxiliary Wake. Visitation will continue from 8:00 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at Ford and Young Funeral Home with the Rosary recited at 8:30 a.m. Thursday.
A Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. at St.Vincent de Paul Church in Perryville with Fr. Jason Schumer officiating.
Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery in Perryville.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Vincent de Paul School Systems.
