Verna Marie Buchheit (nee Schnurbusch) peacefully passed away at Mt Carmel Senior Living in St Charles on Jan. 7, 2022.
Loving wife of the late John Daniel Buchheit; beloved daughter of August and Theresia (Leible) Schnurbusch; devoted Mother of Sr Kathleen Buchheit, FSM, Ronald Buchheit, John (Karen), and Teresa (Michael) Orf; cherished grandmother of Daniel (Kerri) Orf, Lauren (Wade) Manzella, John Cory Buchheit and Zachary Buchheit; treasured great-grandmother of Wyatt Manzella, Henry Orf and Jack Manzella; dear sister to all her siblings who preceded her in death: Lorine (Gus) Buchheit, Walter (Virginia) Schnurbusch, Sr Flora Schnurbusch, FSM, Leon (Marie) Schnurbusch, Everett (Alma) Schnurbusch, Margaret (Eldon) Renaud, Esther (Milton) Ochs and Gertrude (L Joseph) Nanney: godmother, aunt, great-aunt, and friend to many.

Verna loved her family so very much. She was a volunteer director and member of the Hospital Auxiliary Board at Perry County Memorial Hospital from 1981-1999. She was a woman deeply rooted in her Catholic faith. She has made a deep impact on many. Her family stand deeply grateful for the values she instilled in them.
The family is being served by Baue Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Friday, Jan. 14 from 9-10 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul - Perryville, 1000 Rosati Ct., a Funeral Mass to follow at 10am. Interment Mount Hope Cemetery - Perryville.
