The Perryville football team didn’t quite have the season they may have wanted. However, that doesn’t mean that they are void of postseason honors. A total of 10 different players made the Mississippi Area Football Conference-White Division all-conference team when they were released. That number doesn’t include the fact that three players made the list on both offense and defense.
The Pirates did not have a player make the first team as those designations was dominated by Park Hills Central, who went undefeated against conference foes and reached the Class 3 quarterfinals this year. However, the Pirates did have four players make the second team, which included three on defense.
Cameron Young made the list as a defensive back and was third on the team in tackles with 45 and had one interception on the season. Young added a pair of fumble recoveries and one forced fumble.
Tyler Weibrecht earned a spot on the second team as a linebacker as he led the Pirates with 47.5 total tackles and 1.5 sacks. Weibrecht pushed the defense back behind the line with four tackles for loss. Weibrecht led the team with three fumble recoveries.
Ethan Huber claimed a spot on the second team as a defensive lineman. He was second on the team with 4.5 tackles for loss and had 19.5 total tackles on the season.
Tucker McClure was the only offensive player to make the second team as he earned a spot for his work on the offensive line.
There were four more Pirates to earn a spot all-conference defensive team as honorable mentions.
Deven Lukefahr earned a spot as a defensive end, and from that spot was able to lead the team in tackles for loss with seven and was second in tackles with 46.5. Lukefahr also have three forced fumbles and one recovery.

Sam Camarillo also earned a spot as a defensive end with 15 total tackles, four tackles for loss and one sack.
Alex Sander earned a spot as a honorable mention linebacker with 33 tackles, three pass break-ups and one sack.
Justin Wingerter made the team as a defensive back after a season where he racked up 17 tackles with one interception and three pass break-ups.
On the offensive side there were five players that were named honorable mentions as well, including Lukefahr, Wingerter, and Camarillo who made the list twice.
Lukefahr, who made the list as a running back, led the team with 359 rushing yards on 71 carries (5.1 average) and four touchdowns.
Wingerter, who made the defensive list as a defensive back, made the offensive list as a wide receiver. The senior led the team with 219 receiving yards and four touchdowns. Ethan Blythe missed the end of the season with a knee injury, but still impressed enough to be an honorable mention athlete.
Blythe had 10 catches for 110 yards and one touchdown on the season.
Sam Camarillo was an honorable mention offensive lineman, and Ty Peeler made the list at punter.
