To the victors go the spoils. St. Vincent football garnered multiple I-55 Conference awards when the honors were recently announced. The Indians won the conference for the first time since 2004, so it only made sense that they should earn two of the top three individual honors.
St. Vincent junior quarterback Christian Schaaf earned the Offensive MVP of the conference. Schaaf threw for 1,968 yards with 23 touchdowns and 9 interceptions, while rushing for 351 yards and seven touchdowns.
St. Vincent coach Tim Schumer won the I-55 Conference Coach of the Year after leading St. Vincent to the conference title with a 4-1 mark.
A total of 16 players and one coach earned honors for the Indians, including nine first team honors.
St. Vincent senior Trevor Moonier earned a first-team slot for two different positions. Moonier was a first-team receiver as well as the first team kicker on special teams. Moonier had 36 catches for 654 yards and nine touchdowns. The Indians had a second wide receiver make the first team as Kaden Kassel also earned the honor. Kassel had 27 catches for 517 yards and seven scores.
Senior Jacob Hennemann earned a first team honor at offensive tackle.
Junior Drake Robinson led the way for the St. Vincent defense with a team-leading 137 tackles, one sack, and one interception.
Senior Simon Unterreiner earned a spot as a defensive lineman, where he had 36 tackles with a combination of two forced fumbles and fumble recoveries. Senior Isaac Graham was a first team defensive back with 42 tackles and one interception.
