Southbound Interstate 55 in both Perry and Cape Girardeau counties will be reduced to one lane as Missouri Department of Transportation crews perform core drilling operations.
The specific section of roadway is located between Route 51 in Perry County and Route D in Cape Girardeau County.
Weather permitting, work will take place Tuesday, Oct. 26 and Wednesday, Oct. 27 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.
The work zones will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near these areas.
